Session 8 Catch-Up Call
Session Date: 2025-08-19
Bill
Hey Debbie, I promised to come back to you and never did.... Sorry for that!
The thing is I have been doing interviews because recruiters reach out to me about jobs and I don't say no when it comes to opportunities(even if my GF complains about it because then I confuse myself more about what I want).
Also there is an avalanche of money problems coming my way since my father's passing and I can't help but think that I know I can earn more salary to help me stay above water and achieve my targets/dreams.
Along with all the negatives there are also some very good news as well! My GF is pregnant and due in January :)
I would love to put some more focus on the Vinyl business, but there are still many unclear pieces which I do not expect to become clearer before end of this year. For instance, I do not know If I can start a business with those because they are not stock that my father paid sales tax for and that is complicating things. I will discuss this matter with accountants and possibly a financial advisor.
I have done progress on the DIY smart home stuff and I think will at some point start writing a blog with some posts to start with that I have been taking notes about.
What I was thinking to do in the coming weeks is, update the documents you have sent me and try to start putting dates to tasks again, then we can plan a call?
Shall I pick randomly the 16th of August 9AM and try to stick with it, in hope I will put some time and focus on those projects? If that date is still available of course!
Thanks a lot Debbie, as you can imagine I find those sessions with you very important and I am doing my best not to waste them by coming to them unprepared because then it makes me feel a little stupid ;)

Hi Bill,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing all of this with me. First and foremost, congratulations on the wonderful news that you and your girlfriend are expecting a baby! That’s such an exciting time filled with lots of changes.
I understand the challenges you're facing, especially with the financial pressures following your father’s passing. It's completely natural to feel the need to secure a higher salary to manage these responsibilities and provide for your growing family.
Regarding your career and business plans, it's great to see you exploring different opportunities and thinking carefully about your next steps. Given the circumstances, it might indeed be a good idea to prioritize stability and financial security for now. Starting a new business, especially with the complexities you're facing with the vinyl business, could add unnecessary stress.
If you feel overwhelmed, we can certainly pause the coaching for a few months. Alternatively, we could use our sessions to help you navigate through this period, providing support and strategies to manage everything more effectively. Your progress on the DIY smart home projects and the potential blog sounds fantastic and could be a great focus area for our sessions too.
The 16th of August at 9 AM works for me. Let’s use that time to catch up for 30 minutes and plan the best way forward. I would suggest that you don’t go through all the documents I have send you. Just think about what is important to you right now. It is like the drawing I have send you a while ago. But now it is changed because that is life sometimes. I have added one just for you to remember.
It’s very important to me that you find our sessions valuable and leave them feeling empowered, not pressured. So lets just take a moment to talk. And find out what your needs are now. And we can see from there.
Looking forward to our call and supporting you through this exciting and challenging time.
Cheers,
Debbie
